Due to a few unforeseen circumstances, I realized that brain week was going to have to be postponed. I don't think the brains are coming this week! Instead of just waiting a week, and loosing my momentum, I spent Saturday evening madly reviewing Guild week, and rushing through what was left of the costumes. I got to bed quite late last night (almost 12am), had to get up early this morning for a church meeting, had home teachers over after church/after choir... wanted desperately to take a nap, but instead, I went forth and did what I felt I needed to do.
Because I am postponing brain week out of necessity, I really felt we still needed our introduction with Leonardo, and today was the day that it needed to get done. I asked my husband to step into Leonardo's shoes. It went so well. My boys were at first not really wanting to get dressed up, so I went first and put on my costume, which they had not seen. That was inspiration enough for them to go and get their costumes on. I just used the notes from the website to guide me step by step. They responded. It wasn't miraculous or anything, but I can tell that a good impression (is that dendrite formation?) was placed in their minds.
They loved the surprise of the doorbell ringing and Leonardo stopping by. The notebooks were wonderful gifts! I am so excited to see what they do with them! I am very excited for tomorrow, not as prepared as I would like to be, but that is okay.
The main reason I am moving forward, is because I was feeling a little down the other day, like it wasn't going to come together or work liked I was hoping. I pulled out my scriptures and read that by their fruits ye shall know them... I realized that stopping the motion now would stop the fruit from forming. I just had to keep going and *DO* something. I am so happy I did. My first two weeks may be a little catywhompus, but I'll get back to the schedule with you all here soon. I just wanted to share our success!
